Never Claimed on Car Insurance?

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

Never Claimed is a new website in the UK that is inviting all drivers who have never made an car insurance claim to sign up. The idea is they are trying to create the biggest car insurance buying group in history. The more people that sign up will enable them to negotiate an incredible deal for its community.

Car insurance prises are rising even for drivers who have never claimed due to claims made by careless drivers and the emergence of no win no fee injury claims. The exclusive business of a large group of drivers who have proven to be safe over the years is an attractive proposition for an insurance company. Never Claimed have already had discussions with some leading insurance companies who are keen to partner with them once sufficient numbers of safe drivers have signed up.

To be eligible to sign up to Never Claimed you just need to be a UK resident, have full no claims discount and have never previously made a claim. Sign up is very simple, you just need to supply your name and email address to show interest. Dont worry, the details will not be shared with any other companies so your inbox will not be filled with spam. Once a deal has been finalised those that have signed up will receive details of the offer.

If you would like more details and to sign up to Never Claimed visit the website. The more people that sign up will mean the better deal for everyone so spread the word and let your fellow safe drivers know about Never Claimed.

Still Time To Get Away

Still Time to Get Away

With the holiday season coming to a close, and people returning to work and children returning to school, it may feel like the entirely wrong time to take a holiday, however now could be a golden time to get out there, jet off, and fly away for an end-of-season break…

Whether it is the snowy ski mountains, or the sunny Mediterranean that interests you, make sure you book your holiday and get out there. When booking a holiday though it is important to remember all the necessary items that can sometimes be all too easy to forget. For example, things such as travel insurance, or even making sure your own passport is valid. These are simple things that can easily be forgotten.

Furthermore, details such as booking a taxi to take you from the airport to wherever it may be that you are staying can also be forgotten. It may also be a good idea to pre-book a hire car, or if you would prefer, to hire one once you have landed.

When hiring a car abroad, it is likely that you will be covered by a very basic form of cheap car insurance which will provide you with roadside assistance in the event of breaking down, which can be often with some rental vehicles out there. When hiring a car abroad it is important to make sure you are aware of the sort of journeys you are likely to be making. If you are visiting a country which is rather mountainous, then perhaps it would be a good idea to hire a 4×4. However, if you are visiting somewhere slightly more urban with lots of straight, flat roads, then maybe it would be a good idea to hire a car that is easy to drive, perhaps with an automatic gearbox, and relatively fuel efficient for those long drives.

For example, if you are road tripping through America, it would be a pleasure to hire a convertible to help take in the beautiful scenery, or an old American muscle car, if possible of course, in order to cruise down the long, winding, but often straight, roads.

Perhaps you fancy venturing to the Amazon jungle in Brazil, this will probably also require a 4×4, a tough one at that! Or perhaps you are going to have a far more relaxing break away and take the weight off your feet in order to lounge around on a golden beach somewhere hot, very hot! When looking out the window here in the UK, thoughts of lying on a hot beach somewhere near the Equator are extremely enticing!

Sat Nav Township Alert for British Tourists

Sat Nav Alert for Townships in South Africa

Our Sat Nav Hire partners Zintech are currently in the process of developing an early warning alert system which will help tourists avoid driving through Townships and informal settlements in South Africa. Whilst some of the townships are safe to visit as part of a guided tour, tourists are advised not to travel through these areas especially during the night. Following the tragic death of Anni Dewani recently in the township of Gugulethu we have had customers requesting if the sat nav can be programmed to avoid these areas. Whilst it is not currently possible to program the sat nav to avoid these areas Zintech’s new alert system will at least give drivers an advanced warning that they are approaching a township. Once the system is available all of Zintech’s  South African sat nav devices will be installed with these alerts. This will give drivers an audio and visual warning that they are within a certain distance from a settlement and allow them to change their route accordingly. Zintech hope to have this available in early 2011.

Next-gen Cayenne to debut next month

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

The latest incarnation of the Porsche Cayenne will make it’s world debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

The new car will be more powerful than the mark 1 version yet the fuel consumption is set to increase by 23 percent as the German manufacturers strive to make their family car class leading in efficiency and output.

The impressive frugalness of the Cayenne is mainly down to the lighter materials used to construct the car so it will top out at 196 mph and demonstrate greater agility thanks to this.

There will be a choice of 5 engines starting with the entry level 3.6 V6 petrol but perhaps the most important will be an environmentally friendlier hybrid capable of 34.4 mpg on a combined cycle and Co2 emissions of 193 g/km.

Take a look at our Car Hire options.
