Next-gen Cayenne to debut next month

The latest incarnation of the Porsche Cayenne will make it’s world debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

The new car will be more powerful than the mark 1 version yet the fuel consumption is set to increase by 23 percent as the German manufacturers strive to make their family car class leading in efficiency and output.

The impressive frugalness of the Cayenne is mainly down to the lighter materials used to construct the car so it will top out at 196 mph and demonstrate greater agility thanks to this.

There will be a choice of 5 engines starting with the entry level 3.6 V6 petrol but perhaps the most important will be an environmentally friendlier hybrid capable of 34.4 mpg on a combined cycle and Co2 emissions of 193 g/km.
